The Chinese police 'smash' trafficking in human beings free 181 gangs

Chinese police have two large child trafficking gangs broken up and released 181 children, say officials.

Nationwide arrested, Ministry of public security in a statement said 802 suspects in an operation on Monday.

Children kidnapped children in the country are often for adoption or as work and household servants sold.

Child trafficking has become a serious problem in China, and critics fault, the one-child policy and adoption of lax laws.

These policies, say some, created a thriving underground market for children buy.

The children were rescued in the last action of trafficking in 15 regions and provinces, including Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Sichuan, Yunnan.

Investigations, to the current round of arrests led began in December 2011 as four suspects in the province of Henan, were caught attempting to sell four babies.

Was the "Most wanted" suspect, Shao Zhongyuan, the Ministry said pingyi County county, Shandong province, caught.

He was allegedly kidnapped by a gang, the more than 100 children. Several other important suspect were arrested, the police communicated.

The Ministry has published a report that in March 2011 said that the police rescued tens of thousands of abducted children and women.

It marked a raid against a gang trade with Chinese women to Angola for prostitution, adding that 19 women were rescued and 16 people were arrested.

More freedom of movement by China's economic reforms is probably also trafficking gangs to operate have facilitated.
